Born and raised in Haverfordwest, Gardiner attended Sir Thomas Picton School, Haverfordwest and then went on to study at Pembrokeshire College.
The young prop has been a part of the Scarlets set up since 2006, when he joined the Academy.
Gardiner is one of the region’s new recruits, having signed a development contract during the summer of 2010, support and strengthens the region’s ethos of developing young local talent.
He played for Carmarthen Quins before joining the region on a full time basis.
As of the 2018/2019 Champions Cup, Gardiner has had 6 European Cups appearances.
