Rhys signed for the Dragons for the 2011/2012 season having come up through the ranks. He played for the region at Under-20 and Academy level.
The hooker left the Dragons at the end of the 2011/2012 season to join Doncaster and then moved onto Moseley before re-signing a contract with the Welsh Region.
