Having made his debut in New Zealand's provincial competition at the age of 20 for Bay of Plenty, halfback Te Aihe Toma went on to make his Super Rugby debut for the Highlanders in 2016.
He has the ability to play at scrumhalf and flyhalf Aiha Toma joined Munster on a short-term deal.
He made his competitive debut for Munster when he came on as a replacement for Duncan Williams in a 2016–17 Pro12 fixture against Scottish side Glasgow Warriors.
He was also named on the bench to face the Maori All Blacks.
He is expected to return to Bay of Plenty ahead of the 2017 Mitre 10 Cup season.
Ahead of the 2018 season Toma left the Steelers to sign with Counties Manukau.
