Patrick Osborne made his Chiefs debut during the 2013 season having been part of the Crusaders squad previously. His agility, acceleration and try scoring abilities make him an exciting player to watch in action. The tall Fijian born winger made his ITM Cup debut for Canterbury in 2010 but had limited 2012 ITM Cup action due to a broken collar bone.
Osborne has advanced his way through the Canterbury academy system and picked up many skills on the way.
He has made the All Blacks training side twice in 2014 and 2015 but was never selected. In May 2016, he dashed his All Blacks dream and made himself available for the Fiji. He also signed on to play for Kubota Spears in the Japanese Top League but would return to play for the Highlanders.
Osborne completed his stint with the Kubota Spears and returned for the Highlanders. He has scored 19 tries in his 54 Super Rugby appearances for the Highlanders, Chiefs and Crusaders.
Osborne made another 8 appearances for the Highlanders in 2017 scoring 3 tries before rejoining the Kubota Spears.
