Nick Crosswell played his first year with the Chiefs for the 2013 season, which saw him reunite with his former coach Dave Rennie, with whom he shared success captaining his provincial side Manawatu to the ITM Cup Championship final in 2011. The Maori All Black is a highly versatile player who can play both lock and loose forward. He has played for both the Hurricanes and Highlanders and is highly consistent with the ball in hand and also in defence.
Crosswell left New Zealand in 2015 and joined Pro 12 side Newport Gwent Dragons and stayed at the club until the end of the 2016/17 season.
He made the move back to New Zealand and linked up with his former side Manawatu Turbos ahead of the 2017 Mitre 10 Cup.
