Morne van den Berg is versitle backline player capable of covering flyhalf and fullback.
He attended Linden High School in Johannesburg and represented Lions at U16, U18 & U19 before he was selected in the Lions SuperSport Challenge Cup squad in 2017.
He had attended the University of the Witwatersrand during 2019 and 2020. He had represented the university in the Varsity Cup competition in 2019 and 2020, where he stood out as a player in the competition.
His performances in the Supersport Challenge Cup lead to him being named in the Lions Currie Cup squad.
