Matthew previously played for Pontypridd RFC, Cardiff RFC, Bedwas RFC and Cardiff Blues regional team.
Screech joined Newport Gwent Dragons for the 2013-14 season having represented Wales at Under 20 level.
The lock has become a mainstay on the pack at Dragons and has made over 140 appearances for the region since his arrival.
In May 2021, the Cardiff Blues confirmed that Screech would return to Arms Park ahead of the 2021-22 season.
The second-row, who stands at 6ft 5ins and tips the scales at more than 18 stone, returns to his home region having spent eight seasons at the Dragons.
He has become a central figure for the Dragons, making over 160 appearances.
