Born in Farnborough, England, Hankin is an industrious back row forward who has previously represented England at various underage levels.
Educated at Beckenham and Hertford, Hankin once had football trials with Kent but chose to pursue a career in rugby instead.
After a long-term injury with concussion, Hankin retired from Saracens at the end of the 2017/18 season.
