The speedster started out playing for Bucuresti Oaks in 2008 on a three-year stint, before joining his current club, Bucuresti Wolves in 2012. Lemnaru made his Test bow for Romania in 2009 and went on to represent them at the 2011 Rugby World Cup, starting in three of their four pool matches.
In 2015, he once again was back at the rugby World Cup, with a call-up to the 2017 Rugby Europe Championship later following.
