Lucio Sordoni, born on 23 July 1998, is a talented Argentine rugby player known for his prowess in the front row. He has made a significant impact both at the club level and on the international stage.

Sordoni began his rugby journey playing for Club Atlético del Rosario, a renowned club in Argentina. His skills and potential caught the attention of scouts, and he was given an opportunity to play for Southern Districts in Australia, gaining valuable experience in a different rugby environment.

In 2018, Sordoni's talent was showcased on the international stage when he represented Argentina at the U20 level. His impressive performances earned him recognition and led to his inclusion in the senior national team. Remarkably, before even making his Super Rugby debut, Sordoni was called up by Argentina's head coach, Mario Ledesma, for the November Internationals against Ireland, France, and Scotland.

Sordoni made his test debut for Argentina off the bench against Ireland, demonstrating his potential at the highest level. He went on to feature against France in the same series, gaining valuable experience and making a positive impact on the field. Despite being an unused substitute against Scotland, Sordoni's inclusion in the matchday squad highlighted the high regard in which he is held by the coaching staff.

In club rugby, Sordoni joined the Jaguares, Argentina's Super Rugby franchise, for the 2019 season. He was named in their squad and made his Super Rugby debut later in the season against the Stormers, further solidifying his progression as a professional player.

In 2021, Sordoni took the next step in his career by joining the Melbourne Rebels in Super Rugby. This move allowed him to further develop his skills and experience the challenges of playing against top-quality opposition in one of the premier rugby competitions.

While a short-term injury prevented Sordoni from playing for French club Mont de Marsan in 2022, he quickly bounced back and secured a deal with Glasgow Warriors in the United Rugby Championship. This move to Scotland provides him with another opportunity to showcase his abilities and contribute to the success of his new team.

Lucio Sordoni is regarded as one of Argentina's most promising young front-rowers. With his physicality, skill set, and determination, he has the potential to become a dominant force in the scrum and continue to make significant contributions to both club and international rugby.
