Jonathan Fisher

15th Sep 1988 1.94m/109kg No 4 Lock

Born in Kingston upon Thames, England, Fisher plies his trade as a flanker or number eight but can also comfortably operate in the second row.

Having graduated from Birkbeck College, Fisher went on to represent England in the 2008 IRB Junior World Championship.

His professional career began with London Irish in 2007 where he spent four years before linking up with Bedford Blues in the English second tier. After just one year with the Blues, Fisher rejoined Irish.

In April 2017, Fisher, by mutual agreement with Bristol Rugby, has opted to take time out to assess his playing career following ten years in the top flight.

The 28 year-old, who made ten appearances for Bristol since joining in the summer, has not featured for the Club since sustaining an injury in December.

Fisher has earned England honours at U20s, Sevens and Saxons level. Under Stuart Lancaster, the back rower also represented an England XV who took on the Barbarians at Twickenham prior to the 2015 Rugby World Cup.

After graduating through the London Irish Academy, Fisher represented Bedford Blues and Northampton Saints.

After the 2016/17 season, Fisher decided to take a sabbatical from rugby.
