A Glenwood old boy, John-Roy Jenkinson made his mark when he represented KwaZulu-Natal at the 2009 U18 Craven Week.
A move to Potchefstroom after school saw him represent the Leopards at U19 and U21 as well as Pukke in the Varsity Cup.
In 2011 he was selected in the South African U20s side for the 2011 IRB Junior World Championship.
The Blue Bulls signed the front rower ahead of the 2016 Currie Cup season and he was included in the Bulls Super Rugby squad.
The powerful tighthead made 3 appearances for the Bulls during the 2017 Super Rugby season but was not included in the Bulls initial squad for the 2018 season.
