Joe Edwards plays as a loose forward for Auckland in New Zealand's ITM Cup. He made his provincial debut during the 2012 season against Manawatu. His impressive performances at domestic level have seen him named in the Blues Wider Training Squad for the 2013 Super Rugby season.Edwards followed on from this with selection in the Maori All Blacks.
He was subsequently upgraded to a first-team Blues contract in 2015.
