Hailing from Whangarei, New Zealand, Shoemark began his professional career in New Zealand with Northland in the then named NPC. Stints at the Blues and the Highlanders followed for the centre before he upped sticks and moved to England to take up a contract with Exeter Chiefs in the Premiership.
