Growing up in Cape Town Jarryd Sage headed to Johannesburg in 2016 to join the Lions.
He was named in the Lions 2017 Currie Cup side where he made his debut against the Pumas.
In November 2017, Dragons continued their recruitment drive with the signing of Welsh-qualified centre from Southern Kings.
Sage joined the Kings from the Golden Lions earlier this season, but has struggled to command a regular place with the Port Elizabeth side, making just one appearance off the bench.
