Owens is a member of the Ulster Academy. Who has featured at wing and full-back for the Ulster A team in this seasons British & Irish Cup.
He made his Ulster senior debut against Glasgow in February 2018 and went on to make one other appearance before he was released at the end of the 2018/19 season.
