Enrolled at Durham Univeristy, Hill has risen through the national age-grades, representing Scotland at under-16, under-17, under-18 and under-19 levels.
A tough-tackling blindside-flanker, Hill has also seen game time with English Premiership side Sale Sharks' under-18 side.
He was named in the Scotland squad for the World Rugby U20s Championship.
