The powerful second row is a crucial part of the Harlequins engine room. His rugby talent was identified from an early age, as he represented England at both Under-16 and U18 levels. The big lock spent a month in South Africa in 2005 training with the Sharks in Durban to develop him game.
His strong work for Quins has been rewarded with call-up to the England Saxons, while he captained the midweek team on the England tour to South Africa in 2012.
June 2016 saw him leave Oyannax to link up with London Irish on a one-year contract.
