Originally from the Caribbean island of Trinidad, Armitage has developed into a potent attacking threat, whether operating at fullback, wing or centre.
One of three brothers, Delon made his England debut in 2008 while at London Irish and showed real potential from the offset.
Despite this, Armitage's fledgling career has been fraught with controversy, including an altercation with a doping officer in 2011. Armitage has since moved on to Toulon, linking up with brothers Guy and Steffan. He has enjoyed success with the French side and scored the only try in Toulon's win against Clermont in the 2013 Heineken Cup final.
Armitage moved to Lyon for the 2016/17 season after they earned promotion to the TOP14. He played 17 times for the French outfit during that season, but is yet to open his try scoring account for the club.
