Nolan spent five years with Pro 12 Champions Connacht before moving to French Pro D2 side Bourgoin for the 2014/15 campaign.
He was part of the Ireland at under 20s and spent a season with Ulster Bank League Division 1A side Galwegians, helping the Connacht club to reach the Bateman Cup final for the first time since 1936.
