Wallace Sititi (born 7 September 2002 in Apia, Samoa) is a dynamic New Zealand rugby loose-forward best known for his work as a number eight and flanker. After early childhood spent in Scotland and Japan due to his father Semo Sititi’s rugby career, he relocated to Auckland and excelled at De La Salle College, where he captained the First XV and served as deputy head boy . Sititi began his senior career with North Harbour in the NPC in 2022 and joined the Chiefs ahead of Super Rugby Pacific 2024, making 11 appearances and scoring five points for Harbour and earning 13 caps and 10 points in his first Chiefs campaign.
Internationally, he represented New Zealand at U20 level in 2022 before earning All Blacks selection in mid‑2024; he debuted off the bench against Fiji and quickly became a regular, starting seven of the final tests that year.
Sititi’s impact was immediate—he was named World Rugby’s 15s Breakthrough Player of the Year in 2024 after standout performances, including a man‑of‑the‑match showing in New Zealand’s win over England.
Standing at 1.87 m and weighing 113 kg, he is lauded for his ball-carrying power, defensive steel, and leadership potential, with All Blacks teammate Dan Carter suggesting he could one day wear the captain’s armband . In May 2025, Sititi signed a new contract with New Zealand Rugby and the Chiefs, extending his stay through to the end of the 2027 World Cup.
Fast-tracked from provincial rugby to the world stage, Sititi already stands out as one of the most exciting young loose-forwards in global rugby.
