A South African-born loosefoward, Hauman is built in the classic mould of a tough tackling, a hardball runner that has become a standard in the Republic.
Hauman joined French side Aurillac early on in his career and spent three years at the club before joining Brive ahead of the 2011/12 season.
He made 143 appearances for Brive until he announced his retirement in September 2018 at the age of 31 after battling with concussions.
