Hailing from Mendoza in Argentina, Guinazu is a hooker by trade but can also operate at prop. His rugby career began at amateur level with RC Mendoza before he turned professional in 2005 with Toulon in the French Top 14. Since then, Guinazu has gone on to play for Agen, the Stormers, Biarritz and Toulouse. His career then took anothe turn when he moved to Bath in 2012 to play in the English Premiership. Guinazu has represented the Argentinean national side on regular occasion since his 2007 debut.
