A product of the Ospreys academy, Beck was farmed out to Aberavon RFC, where he made his Welsh Premiership debut at the age of seventeen. Beck also represented Wales at Under 16, 18 and 20 level.
He was the youngest ever Osprey to take to the field when he came on during a match versus Leinster in November 2007 still five months short of his 18th birthday.
Capped by Wales at all age-grade levels, he made his senior debut on the summer 2012 tour of Australia, playing in all three tests and starting in the second and third.
In January 2015, Beck became the 23rd player to reach 100 appearances for the Ospreys when he led the team out at the Liberty Stadium.
The centre signed a new contract with the club in the same year which ran until the end of the 2017-18 campaign with the Ospreys.
In February 2018, Worcester Warriors confirmed the signing of Beck on a two-year deal from the 2018-19 Premiership season.
He has played seven times for Wales, having crossed the whitewash on two occasions, with his last appearance coming in 2013.
As of May 2020, Beck has made 18 appearances for Worcester, and has scored 10 points.
