Born in Sicily, Lo Cicero started his professional career in his hometown with Amatori Catiana, moving to Bologna first and then to Rovigo. He later played for L’Aquila and then moved on to Racing Metro in France. He made his international debut against England in 2000. He is still highly regarded as one of the most talented scrummagers in the professional game. He has played over 100 games for Italy and is Italy's most capped player of all time.
