A Waikato man through and through Andrew Strawbridge represented Waikato as a player before transitioning into coaching after his retirement.
Strawbridge played his rugby for Waikato from 1983-1995. He won the NPC with the side in 1992 and the Ranfurly Shield in 1993.
Strawbridge was involved with the Chiefs in 2001 as a kicking coach until he became Assistant Coach at North Harbour in 2003.
He assisted the New Zealand Under 20 in 2008 and 2009 winning the World Championship titles in both years.
He helped the Chiefs win their back-to-back title wins in 2012 and 2013.
2018 will be Strawbridge's seventh season as the Chiefs Assistant Coach.
