One of the World's elite props, Sheridan stands at a menacing 6'5" and almost 120 kilos, making him one of the game's tallest props. Widely renowned as a quality scrummager, Sheridan made his debut at Richmond in 1999 before moving onto Bristol, but it was at Sale Sharks where he developed into one of the finest looseheads in the game. After making his international debut in 2004, a year later Sheridan made his mark on the international scene after destroying a range of Australian props in the November internationals at Twickenham. Prior to that Sheridan had been a surprise call up to the disastrous 2005 British and Irish Lions tour. Sheridan's recent career has been dogged by severe shoulder injuries which have limited his involvement with the national side.
