Alberto De Marchi was the first Italian player (closely followed by Giulio Toniolatti and Simone Favaro) to wear the shirt of both Treviso and Zebre in the RaboDirect PRO12 . He played with Italy at youth level and A and the last summer tour in America he made his debut with the national team against Argentina Maggiore.
Growing up in San Dona Rugby, Rugby Parma he then joined the team with which he won a Super Cup and two Italian Cups before landing in Viadana.
March 2014 saw him make a move to the English Aviva Premiership to join Sale Sharks on a two-year contract.
