Mitchell had a taste of Sevens World Series action, debuting for Australia 7s in Vancouver in early 2016.
He also impressed in the2016 Buildcorp NRC, and was a standout in some Sevens development games before the Olympics and moved to Sydney to join the Australian Men’s Sevens squad as they began preparations for the 2016-2017 HSBC Sevens World Series.
