Ben Spencer commits future to Bath Rugby

Bath Rugby is delighted to announce that club captain Ben Spencer has signed a new three-year contract, extending his stay with the Blue, Black and White until the summer of 2028.

The England international joined Bath in the summer of 2020 from Saracens and has gone on to make 108 appearances for Johann van Graan’s side, leading them last season to a first Gallagher Premiership Final in nine years.

On signing his new deal, scrum-half Spencer said: “We have loved our time at Bath so far, as a family we have really settled here. We have a special group of players and staff and I believe we’re only just scratching the surface of what we can achieve. This team has grown hugely over the last couple of seasons and I am excited for what is to come.”

Bath’s Head of Rugby Johann van Graan said: “Ben is not only a world-class player but the leader and captain of our team and a true family man. He has that special game-winning ability that inspires others and brings out the best in the people around him. Time and again, Ben has demonstrated he can perform on the biggest stage and is such a huge part of what we are all working towards on our journey at the club."

Everyone at Bath Rugby would like to congratulate Ben on his new contract and look forward to seeing him continuing his journey with the Blue, Black and White.
