6 Nations introduces bonus points
Today the 6 Nations Council announced that it will introduce a bonus point system for the 6 Nations, Women's 6 Nations as well as the U20 6 Nations.
The system will go on trial in all 3 competitions for 2017 and be reviewed after the completion of the 2017 tournament.
The Bonus points will work as follows:
- Scoring 4 or more tries will earn you an extra point
- Losing with 7 or fewer points will earn you an extra point
- If a union wins the Grand Slam they will be awarded 3 additional log point
4 points will be awarded for winning a game, 2 points for a draw and 0 points for a loss
