The United Rugby Championship gets underway with Zebre hosting the Lions in the opening round. Zebre finished bottom of the Pro14 Rainbow Cup European pool, losing all five of their matches, while the Lions ended in last position in the SA pool as well as bottom of the recently concluded Currie Cup.
