Ulster take an 8-6 lead over the Sale Sharks into halftime. Sale opened the scoring with an early penalty, but picked up a yellow card 17 minutes in. Ulster capitalized with a try midway through the half to lead 5-3. Five minutes later a second Sale penalty saw them sneak in front, but a late Ulster shot at goal sees them up by two points at the break.
