Ulster take a 13-3 lead over Clermont into halftime. Ulster started strongly, kicking an early penalty before crossing for the games first try to lead 10-0. Clermont pulled three points back with a penalty, but Ulster would slot a late penalty of their own to take a 10 point advantage into the break after a dominant opening forty.
