The Stormers and Bulls head into halftime all square at 13-13. The Stormers kicked two early penalties to lead 6-0. The Bulls then picked up a yellow card but got on the board with a penalty midway through the half. The Stormers were then awarded a penalty try to make it 13-3, with the Bulls picking up another yellow card in the process. Despite being a player short, the Bulls hit back with a try and they slotted a late penalty to see the sides deadlocked at the break.
