The Sharks take an 11-3 lead over the Stormers into halftime. The Sharks got off to the perfect start with a try just three minutes in to lead 5-0. The Sharks picked up a yellow card midway through the half, with the Stormers kicking the resulting penalty to get on the board. The Sharks restored their five point advantage with a penalty after 26 minutes, but missed a shot at goal just beyond the half hour mark. The Stormers picked up a yellow card just before the break, with the Sharks kicking a drop goal to hold an eight point advantage.
