Saracens take a 14-10 lead over the Sale Sharks into halftime in extremely windy conditions. Saracens got off to the perfect start with a try in the opening minute, with Sale getting on the board with a penalty shortly after. Saracens managed to keep the scoreboard ticking over, slotting three penalties to build a 14-3 advantage. However, Sale would hit back with a try with the final play of the half to trail by just four points at the break.
