The Ospreys take a 19-7 lead over the Scarlets into halftime. The Scarlets got off to the worst possible start, picking up a red card just 5 minutes into the match. The Ospreys then ran in two tries to open up a 12-0 lead. The Ospreys picked up a yellow card around the half hour mark and the Scarlets capitalized immediately with a try to trail 12-7. The Ospreys hit back shortly after with their third score to take a 12 point advantage into the break.
