The Bulls take a 20-13 lead over the Sharks into halftime. A try apiece saw the sides level at 7-7 after ten minutes of play. The sides then traded penalties before a second Bulls try put them up 17-10. The Sharks then picked up a yellow card around the half hour mark and the Bulls slotted the resulting penalty to make it 20-10. Despite being a player down, the Sharks kicked a penalty shortly after to trail by seven points at the break.
