The Rebels take a 15-10 lead over the Lions into halftime. The Rebels opened the scoring with an early penalty and a try midway through the half gave them an 8-0 lead. The Rebels then picked up a yellow card but despite their numerical disadvantage crossed for their second try to extend their lead out to 15-0. The Lions hit back with a try to get on the board and a late Rebels yellow card saw the visitors slot a penalty to trail by just five points at the break.
