Leinster take a 27-14 lead over Toulouse into halftime. Leinster opened the scoring with an early penalty, but Toulouse hit back with the first try to lead 7-3. Leinster slotted another penalty, with Toulouse then picking up a yellow card. Leinster capitalized on their numerical advantage with two quick scores to hit the front 20-7. Just as Toulouse were back to their full compliment, Leinster went over again to push the lead out to 27-7. Toulouse scored a try five minutes from halftime to trail by 13 points at the break.
