Blommetjies gets the second half underway for the Cheetahs

The Cheetahs take a 23-17 lead over the Lions into halftime. The Cheetahs started strongly, with an early penalty followed by two quick tries to open up a 15-0 lead just 13 minutes in. The Lions hit back in fine fashion, running in three tries in just six minutes to hit the front 17-15 midway through the first half. The Cheetahs edged ahead with a penalty before the Lions picked up a yellow card allowing the hosts to run in another try for a six point advantage at the break.
