England take a comfortable 42-14 lead over Canada into halftime. England got off to the perfect start, with a try in the opening minute, but Canada responded superbly with a try to level matters at seven apiece ten minutes in. England were awarded a penalty try shortly after, with Canada picking up a yellow card in the process. It was all England as they ran in three quick tries to race into a 35-7 lead. England picked up a yellow card around the half hour mark and Canada capitalized with their second score. England would cross for a sixth try with the final play of the half for a commanding lead at the break.
