The Bulls take a 17-9 lead over Cardiff into halftime. The sides traded early penalties before a second for Cardiff put them up 6-3. The Bulls scored the first try of the match around the half hour mark to hit the front, with Cardiff pulling three points back with a shot at goal shortly after. The Bulls went over for try number two just before halftime for an eight point advantage at the break.
