Benetton take a 16-12 lead over the Bulls into halftime. Benetton kicked two penalties and ran in a try in-between to race into a 13-0 lead after 18 minutes of play. The Bulls got on the board with a try 25 minutes in, but then missed a long range shot at goal approaching the half hour mark. Benetton added another three with a penalty, but the Bulls ran in their second try with the final play of the half to trail by four points at the break.
