Welcome to a much anticipated final between table toppers Auckland and 3rd placed Canterbury. Having met in Week 5 Auckland overcame Canterbury 29-34 in Christchurch. Drummonds efforts in the semi final 16-21 win against Tasman gave his side a chance to defend their crown. Auckland scored 5 tries in their semi final as they saw off Wellington 38-17.
