Argentina take a 19-5 lead over the USA into halftime. Argentina opened the scoring with a try midway through the half and a second shortly after gave them a 14-0 lead. A third try saw Argentina into a comfortable lead, but USA hit back with their first score on the stroke of halftime to trail by 14 points at the break.
