Ireland take a 10-0 lead over Wales into halftime. Ireland got off to a dream start, with a try just over 2 minutes in making it 7-0. Ireland's early dominance saw them awarded two kickable penalties, but both attempts at goal went wide. Ireland did eventually tack on three more points with a penalty midway through the half. Wales grew into the game thereafter, but were unable to trouble the score line as Ireland hold a ten point advantage at the break.
