The Hurricanes take a 12-3 lead over the Chiefs into halftime. The Hurricanes struck first with an early try to lead 7-0. The Chiefs pulled three points back with a penalty, but the Hurricanes responded with their second try for a nine point advantage at the break. The Hurricanes will however start the second half with 14 players after picking up a late yellow card.
