Connacht take a 14-9 lead over unbeaten Ulster into halftime. Ulster kept the scoreboard ticking over with two early penalties to lead 6-0. Ulster then picked up a yellow card around the midpoint of the half, with Connacht capitalizing immediately with a try to lead 7-6. Ulster went back in front thanks to a third penalty, but Connacht ran in their second try which sees them take a five point advantage into the break.
